Testimonials

Kim is a “one in a million trainers”. His style of teaching is so uplifting for both the student and the horse. I can’t thank him enough for all that he has done for me and Monty. Eternally grateful.

The moment we sat down with Kim Saturday morning I knew coming to your clinic was not a mistake. I have been dabbling in connection and improving my relationship with my horse for some time plus more recently exploring meditation but mainly just for myself and not so much with my horse. It was great to have the combination of relationship/connection/awareness and meditation presented in a clinic all together.

I liked the honesty Kim had sharing his past and present and feel this encourages others to be more open who may be otherwise a little more reserved as he has shown this is a safe place to do so.

I liked how he engaged with everyone and was truly listening to what was being said, everyone had time with him. In past clinics I have gone to there have been people left out because they were a bit shy to speak up or just didn’t seem to have the “right” horse.

He was very clear with his instruction and always had other suggestions to try.

Hi Kim and Kaz

Just wanted to touch base with you guys.

Went camping this weekend with some friends and took the horses that is the 2nd time since the clinic I have ridden Mary and the first time was the day before under saddle. She was terrified at different points in the ride but we stopped and waited for lick and chew and anxiety to leave and we continued on. There was no shy bolt or buck no freshness and there was diggers trucks and quads going around. To say we have come a lot way is an understatement!

Today was the first time I’ve ever ridden her bare back and 2nd ride in a month (since the clinic)

And I rode her in a halter leading a horse across the 100 acre paddock!!!! That is AMAZING!!!

Thank you!!! You have given me my confidence and security back! Thank you

Today, I had my first online session with Kim. I hadn’t used the technology or PIVO+ before, but Kaz was kind enough to send me some super straightforward instructions and it was really easy. I just needed my iPhone, airpods and the Pivo. I sat the Pivo with my phone on top of a barrel in the middle of my paddock, logged in, sent Kim the link and we were off. We did ground work and the Pivo tracked us well. Audio was great too.

What I really loved was Kim being able to give me instructions, and help me with interpreting all those tiny micro communications my horse was offering, all in real time. Kim could then give me feedback about timing and breaking tasks down into tiny steps, with guidance on how and when to offer rewards. He was also able to notice my body language and guide me and remind me when to breathe!

I was also very pleasantly surprised that Kim was able to ‘feel’ what was happening… all the way through the screen in another state. I had been unsure if this would be possible with online sessions, but he nailed it. That part really excites me! I think his ability to be able to do this is not only a testament to his skill as a horseperson but also a product of his dedication to the learning journey as a trainer and a human.

It’s hard to describe how wonderful I think Kim is without sounding like the President of his fan club! But I would absolutely take that job in a heartbeat. My gratitude to Kim for his training and guidance with my horse is beyond words, he literally changed my horses life – and mine. Our relationship and work together had such a massive shift after Kim’s clinic and the amount of people that have said ‘Oh Ellen, he’s like a different horse’ is amazing.

Kim has a presence and quality of connection unlike anyone – his ability to connect with humans and horses is his gift and he uses it with such compassion and humility it’s hard to find words that justify the work he does.  I haven’t met a person with a horse that doesn’t want them to live a happy and calm life – no matter if they’re competing in CDI four stars or campdrafting or leisure riding – no matter what you’re doing, we all want to understand our horses – and want them to feel calm and safe with us.

Enter Kim Daley. He is their voice – he is their advocate – he is able to truly hear them. His depth of knowledge and his ability to adjust to each horse, each owner, each situation, is phenomenal. Kim teaches something that no one else could possibly teach with such grace and kindness, he teaches us how to be with them – be with them in their anxiety, be with them in their resistance, be with them in their confusion – and show them we are there, listening, allowing them to be where they are, offering them a two way conversation.

Before you ‘do’ with your horse, you first need to know how to simply ‘be’ with him. So many of us are caught up in ‘doing’ we totally miss the ‘being’. Kim unique ability to show us the ‘being’ opens up a whole new level of connection and collaboration with your horse.

Kim is such a hugely competent horse trainer with decades of experience that he mixes so beautifully with his natural horsemanship methods, you couldn’t be in better hands with him. Whatever your interests are, whatever you and seeking with your horse, you need Kim. For your horse, for you, and for whatever it is you are seeking, Kim will show you the path you can take together.

I can’t begin to say how much I enjoyed the clinic on the weekend, I came away with a very positive vibe. Kim made sure to asses each combination that attended; checking in where you & your horse is at is the sign of a diligent teacher. He listened attentively to you & your details about your horse in a genuine & compassionate manner that made you feel at ease. Time was made for each & every student, Kim was very approachable & also offered guidance in a positive manner.

How refreshing it was to attend a clinic with such a competent horseman who was so authentic & happy to be there. The meditations & being with like minded people were the icing on the cake! Thank you!

Thank-you, Kim, for an amazing weekend – your techniques and teaching completely revolutionised the way I think about horsemanship. The clinic was super helpful, insightful and fun. My confidence and calmness has improved so much and I did things I didn’t think I would be able to do! I’m also really grateful for your humility and patience – it makes all the difference.
